FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Encore Club recently held its annual Fly-Up Luncheon to welcome new members who are “graduating” from the Newcomers Club.
Nineteen ladies from Newcomers were treated to lunch at Pala Mesa Resort on June 11. Each new member was introduced by outgoing Encore President Margeret Muller and presented with a yellow rose by Vincia Carlstrom, the upcoming 2008-2009 president.
The Bonsall Woman’s Club Chorus entertained with a wonderful variety of music ranging from patriotic to oldies to country hits like “All My Exes Live in Texas.”
The Encore Club has close ties with the Newcomers Club. Both are open to women from Fallbrook, Bonsall and Rainbow; Newcomer membership is restricted to residents who have lived in the area for three years or less.
Both clubs will be on hiatus for the summer and will begin a new round of activities in September.
