Thank you to Fallbrook residents

Once again, the Rotary Club of Fallbrook would like to thank the citizens of Fallbrook for their generosity.

During the first three weeks of December, the members of The Rotary Club of Fallbrook “rang the bell” to collect donations for the Salvation Army. This is the 36th year that our members have participated in this fund raising activity and we consider this an important service to the community.

This year we were worried that, because of the economy, we would not be as successful as we have been in the past. But Fallbrook residents dug deep into their wallets and offered coins and bills to support the efforts of the Salvation Army. It was especially rewarding to watch parents teach their children to donate to this worthwhile organization.

We would like to thank Major Market and Albertson’s for letting us “ring the bell” outside their stores. A special thank you goes to the checkout clerks who had to listen to the “bells” all day long for three weekends.

So, once again The Rotary Club of Fallbrook thanks you Fallbrook. Because of your generosity, it is our pleasure to stand and “ring the bell” every December for this important organization.
