'No Hands – No Arms – No Problem!' coming to Bonsall

BONSALL - Tom Willis will perform his disability awareness school assembly “No Hands – No Arms – No Problem!” on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Bonsall Elementary School, 31505 Old River Road, Bonsall.

With help from the Bonsall Education Foundation, two assemblies will take place. The first, from 9:50 to 10:35 a.m. will address students in kindergarten through second grades, and the second assembly from 10:50 to 11:35 a.m. will address students in third through fifth grades.

The presenter, Tom Willis, is disabled – he was born without arms and hands. So he uses his legs and feet instead to do everything in his life. During the assemblies, Willis will talk openly with students about his disability and how he’s learned to tackle the obstacles and challenges he faces every day.

He will demonstrate how he uses his feet in a creative and unique approach to problem solving and will invite volunteer students on stage to attempt to perform simple acts using their feet instead of their hands. He teaches students that it’s okay to be different.

In additional to school presentations, he conducts motivational speaking engagements for companies and professional organizations. Learn more about Tom Willis at
