Ann Wylie McKee Skartvedt

Ann Wylie McKee Skartvedt, born Jan. 7, 1940 in Los Angeles, peacefully passed on Aug. 8, 2011. She fought the good fight for many years and served as an example of love, strength, and endurance... always with a positive attitude.

She grew up in Pasadena, graduated from University of Utah, and then started her family in Rancho Palos Verdes. For the next 25 years, she was a high school P.E. teacher, tennis coach, swim coach, and special education teacher. She filled her summer and holidays with her many activities including surfing, skiing, tennis, camping, and gardening.

She married her husband Gary in beautiful Vail, Colo. in 1987, then moved to Fallbrook in 1992. She enjoyed retirement by traveling the world; participating in the Fallbrook Garden Club and watching her grandchildren grow up in the beautiful pool she built for them. The many friends she made in Fallbrook and throughout her life were very dear to her.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Gary Skartvedt; her three children, Kenny, Julie and Gail; her 12 grandchildren and two sisters Patsy Loughboro and Martha Krueger.
