Firefighters make quick work of two fires in Canyon Lake

CANYON LAKE (Wire Service) - Firefighters today, Sat., July 21, quickly contained two fires about a block apart in the gated Canyon Lake community, limiting damage to less than half an acre of vegetation and the roof of one home, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The fires were reported at 4:03 p.m. in the 23200 block of Clipper Court and the 23200 block of Canyon Lake Drive North, fire department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said.

There were 23 firefighters who responded to the blazes. No injuries were reported, Hagemann said.
