RIVERSIDE COUNTY MOUNTAINS-SAN BERNARDINO AND Riverside COUNTY VALLEYS -THE INLAND EMPIRE-

The urban and small stream flood advisory has been cancelled for Southwestern Riverside County...

Some minor flows and ponding of water may persist in the Cahuilla drainage through 6 pm, but no further flooding is expected.

Farther to the east a flash flood warning remains in effect for Palm Canyon Creek and Deep Creek through 6:45 pm.

No hazardous weather expected tonight-Sunday through Friday isolated thunderstorms, wind, heat

Days two through seven...Sunday through Friday

Isolated thunderstorms in the mountains and deserts each afternoon and early evening through Tuesday. Thunderstorms produce dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning and may produce locally heavy rain and gusty winds. Seasonally hot through Monday with gradual cooling through the week.

For Sunday and Monday...For Sunday and Monday in the mountains and deserts, the flash flood potential index is low. Isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop but the risk of flash flooding is minimal.

Monsoonal moisture in southeast flow aloft will bring scattered afternoon and early evening thunderstorms with a flash flood watch for the mountains, deserts, and Inland Empire. For the mountains and deserts-the flash flood potential index is high.

Thunderstorms with areas of heavy rain are expected and the threat of flash flooding is significant. For the Inland Empire The flash flood potential index is moderate. Thunderstorms are expected to develop and isolated flash flooding is possible.

Days two through seven-Sunday through Friday.
