Boys & Girls Club celebrates Day for Kids

FALLBROOK – Boys & Girls Clubs of North County celebrated Boys & Girls Clubs Day for Kids, an annual event highlighting the value of meaningful time between caring adults and kids, on Sept. 15. This year’s event featured fun games and activities for the whole family – from little ones to teens and even adults too! Entertainment included Jumpy Jumps; balloon twisting; water games, Minute To Win It activities presented by each Boys & Girls Club’s location and staff; North County Fire Truck viewing; face painting and a photo booth.

The first 200 kids in the door a Day for Kids were given lime green t-shirts. Besides hot dogs barbequed by newest member of Fallbrook Kiwanis Club and division chief/fire marshal Sid Morel, cotton candy and snow cones were served to over 500 people that attended the event by Kiwanis and Key Club volunteers. Many other volunteers helped the event run smoothly

“Nothing matches the magic of spending time at play with children. Boys & Girls Clubs Day for Kids is set aside to foster stronger relationships between adults and children through spending meaningful time together,” says Lisa Ware, director of operations & coordinator of the event for the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County. “Events like this, and other meaningful interactions between parents, mentors and kids energize the community and help our youth reach their full potential – not just today, but all year long.”
