Safe Halloween coming Oct. 31

FALLBROOK – La Paloma School will again host the popular Safe Halloween event for the children of Fallbrook. Sponsored by Fallbrook Village Rotary Club, Fallbrook Union Elementary School District, Friends of Fallbrook Community Center, County Parks and Recreation and numerous clubs and service groups, the event will take place Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Plans already include lots of games, prizes, and many trick-or-treats. Fallbrook’s new Honorary Mayor, Leo Romero, will organize costume contests every half-hour beginning at 5:30 p.m. Carnival games will be manned by community service groups at various stations in the quad at La Paloma School. Other service organizations will sell pizza, popcorn, and snow cones for $1 each.

Extra parking is being arranged, along with light towers to ensure safe, easy access to the event. Parking and traffic will be handled by the Sheriff’s Senior Volunteer Patrol.

Others participating in the event include Fallbrook Kiwanis Club, Key Club, Fallbrook High School AVID Students, Fallbrook Health Care District, Fallbrook Equipment Rental, the Fallbrook Firefighters Association Explorer Scouts and others.

This event is free of charge and open to all children from preschool age up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. To volunteer or make a donation for Safe Halloween, contact Fallbrook Community Center at (760)
