Bates to talk about "Twenty-One Steps of Courage"

FALLBROOK – Local author Sarah Bates will discuss her book, “Twenty-One Steps of Courage” on Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. in the small portion of the community room of the Fallbrook Library and will have books available for sale.

Bates’ research, starting in 2006, took her to Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington DC as well as the National Training Center in the California desert.

The story revolves around a young man intent on fulfilling his father’s own unfulfilled dream of becoming a sentinel guard at the Tomb of the Unknown at Arlington National Cemetery.

It is a story of bravery, naïveté, and perseverance to succeed in an almost impossible mission. A question and answer period will follow the discussion.
