Are we safer than we were four years ago?

The question, “Are we better off than we were four years ago?” is a ridiculously easy one to answer. Of course we aren’t. The economy is on critical, full life support.

The more pressing question that Americans should be asking themselves is, “Are we safer than we were four years ago?”

With the recent attack on our embassy in Libya due to fumbled security responses under President Obama, and his publicly stated plan to make deeper, more substantial cuts to the U.S. military, the American people may not have to worry whether they were “better off” or not during those four years.

If Obama is re-elected, a safe existence may be impossible to sustain in this country, making reflecting on the past or planning for the future a moot point.
