Daughters of Norway to learn history through postcards

RAINBOW – Esther Van Noy will come to the Sat., Nov. 10 meeting of the Daughters of Norway bringing her vast collection of postcards. Van Noy has collected a wide variety of postcards over the past 20 years, sent from Norway to America in the early 1900s. Topics include bunader, the Royal family, emigrants to America, Norwegians in the Civil War, and many cities in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland.

The cultural program begins at 11 a.m. followed by lunch at 12, and a business meeting at 12:45 p.m. The meeting will take place at Rainbow Valley Grange Hall, 2160 Rainbow Valley Blvd. For more information, call Julie Watts at (951) 676-8896 or email
