Santa, carolers, arts/crafts, and more at free Christmas 'Open House' Dec. 8

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Historical Society will host “An Old Fashioned Christmas” on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum grounds, 1730 Hill Street (Rocky Crest Road and Hill Street).

All of the society’s buildings will be decorated for the holidays and feature special displays, including: the Pittenger House, the museum, the Ford Room, the Rock and Mineral Room, and the Barn.

A giant Christmas tree will be featured in the Barn along with a visit from Santa Claus from 1 to 3 p.m. Don’t forget to bring a camera! Visitors are welcome to capture that special moment with Santa as well as the historic Fallbrook model train display decked out in its holiday finery.

The event will include strolling carolers, cookies and cider, and tours of all the buildings.

An arts and crafts area will also be featured in the Barn so that children can make popcorn and cranberry garlands, as well as create their own unique tree ornament to take home.

Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to share the spirit of an old-fashioned Christmas with friends, family, and community members.

The event is open to the general public and free of charge.
