Local artist to tile Poet's Patio

FALLBROOK - Twenty-one year Fallbrook resident Robin Vojak will be undertaking the creation of a tile mural for the floor of Fallbrook Library’s Poet’s Patio. Vojak has been making custom tile in her ceramic studio for over 23 years.

First introduced to Fallbrook in the early 80’s by fellow college friends Bruce and Holly Stowell and Cameron Smith, she completely fell in love with the town, the people and the beautiful rolling hills. She knew that it would be great place to have a home studio and raise a family. By the time her fourth child made it to kindergarten, it was time to expand her studio.

Vojak then rented space at the Art Works building on Alvarado St. for six years and has now expanded to her Temecula studio where she has worked for the last seven years.

Vojak continues to produce innovative custom tile; her work has graced the homes of Nicholas Cage, Danny DeVito, and Ellen DeGeneres, to name a few with her tile creations.

She also opens up her studio in the afternoon and evening for pottery lessons. “It’s a great environment for someone to learn about ceramics, there’s so much going on, it helps with the creative flow”

Vojak will be having an open house at her studio, Studio 4 Ceramics, on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for viewers to take a peek of the mural in progress. The studio is located at 42112 Remington Ave. in Temecula (two minutes off the freeway, Winchester exit). For more information, call (951) 296-2270.
