Agnes "Aggie" Poppell

Agnes “Aggie” Poppell passed away peacefully on Dec. 5, 2012 at her residence in Fallbrook. Agnes was born Jan. 6, 1921 in San Antonio, Texas. She married her true love, Earl Poppell, and they enjoyed 60 wonderful years together.

Agnes spent her years mastering her hobbies of ceramics, quilting and sewing. She will always be remembered for her kind heart and southern hospitality. In 1976, Agnes and Earl moved to Fallbrook to spend their lives with their only daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. They enjoyed their many friends and association with the Fallbrook Presbyterian Church.

Agnes is survived by her daughter, Miriam Scrape; grandchildren, Jeff (Susie), Pam (Chris), Steve (March), Kathy and 10 great-grandchildren of Fallbrook, and her sister-in-law, niece and two nephews of San Antonio.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband Earl and son-in-law, Larry Scrape. Private services were held at the Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery.
