Film club offers "The Way" Jan. 13

OCEANSIDE – The North County Film Club begins its 2013 season with the film “The Way” starring Martin Sheen.

Sheen plays a father who travels overseas to recover the body of his estranged son who died while traveling the “El Camino de Santiago,” and decides to make the pilgrimage himself.

Sheen’s son, Emilio Estevez wrote and directed the film and has a small role in it.

“The Way” will be shown Sunday, Jan. 13, at 3 p.m. at the Digiplex Mission Marketplace Theater, 431 College Blvd., Oceanside. The film is rated PG 13 for language, including some sexual references and drug use.
