Lypps memorial bench to be dedicated Jan. 18

FALLBROOK – On Friday, Jan. 18, at 1 p.m., the community is invited to join in a celebration of Gregg Lypps’ life by attending the dedication of a beautiful granite slab bench in his memory at Los Jilgueros Preserve in Fallbrook.

Lypps died after participating in a fundraising golf tournament for the Fallbrook High School baseball team on Jan. 17, 2011.

The granite slab bench was chosen by Sara Lypps, Gregg’s wife, in honor of his life work with granite slabs and as a symbol of his passion in artistry. The stone has been provided by Eternal Memorials.

The event will be conducted near the north end of the preserve by the duck pond.

A representative from Lifesharing, an organization dedicated to organ donations, will be present to talk about the importance of registering to be an organ donor.

Sara Lypps made a decision to donate Gregg’s organs before it was too late, and several people in San Diego County have been given another chance at life as a result of that decision. For more information, visit http://www.lifesharing.org.
