Soroptimists donate gift bags

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Soroptimist members Sandy Shapiro and Kay Thorogood spearheaded a yearly public service project for the Rainbow Conservation Camp. Over 80 festive, hand-made holiday bags were filled with donated hygiene products, candy, note cards and pens from local residents, businesses and members of the club.

On Dec. 22, the bags were presented to Lieutenant Villa who subsequently handed them out to the inmates. The camp provides female inmate fire crews for fire suppression in San Diego and Riverside Counties. The inmate workforce also participates in conservation and community service projects including Cal Fire sign-making.
