Art Association holds silent auction of donated paintings

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Art Association, which recently received a gift of 23 acrylic paintings from the estate of BJ Wilson, will offer the works of art at a silent auction to fund the organization’s Art Assist program for local elementary schools and scholarships for high school seniors.

The paintings are of exceptional quality and it was Wilson’s wish that proceeds from their sale be used for educational and charitable outreach.

Wilson, who received her bachelor’s degree from UCLA and master’s degree in painting from Art Center School, Chouinard Art Institute, taught art at the collegiate level.

The paintings will be on exhibit the month of February at Brandon Gallery, 105 N. Main Ave., and offered for purchase there via a silent auction. Photographs of the paintings can be viewed at http://www.fallbrookartassn.org.

A special reception will be held at the gallery for the exhibition on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 4 to 6 p.m.
