Senior Challenge Cribbage match is on Jan. 24

FALLBROOK – After losing the Senior Challenge for three straight months, the Fallbrook Senior Center team got back on track and crushed the Oceanside team at the Nov. 15 match. Fallbrook won 80 games to Oceanside’s 53.

Leading the way was Fallbrook’s June Shoup with six wins and two skunks for first place honors. Second place went to Mitzi Potwora with six wins and one skunk. Third place went to Pat Knadler of Oceanside with five wins and two skunks. Jean Cunningham and director Obie Weeks took fourth and fifth with five wins and skunk. The next four places all on the Fallbrook team each had five wins and no skunks, Ray Potwora, Mike Duffy, Bill McGinness and Barb Sacic.

The next match will be on Jan. 24. The monthly matches are played at the Vista Elks Lodge 1947 E Vista Way (724-1968) beginning at 12:30 p.m. The Elks Lodge serves lunch beginning at 11:15 a.m.
