Compliance check results in six arrests - one for attempted murder, four for drug-related offenses, one for felony vandalism

Lieutenant Todd Richardson, commander of the Fallbrook Sheriff's substation, said this afternoon that six people are under arrest following an operation dubbed "Guacamole VII" in Fallbrook. The probation or compliance check was conducted from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. today.

He said that deputies from the Fallbrook Sheriff's Substation's "Crime Suppression Team" worked with deputies and detectives from other units as well as County Probation, State Parole and the District Attorney's Office.

Richardson said, "During the operation about a half ounce of methamphetamine or 'ICE,' a couple grams of heroin, a pound of marijuana, and 30 to 40 tablets of hydrocodone were recovered."

He also said that the five adults and a 16-year-old juvenile are documented members or associates of the Fallbrook street gang known as "Varrio Fallbrook Locos" or "VFL," and it was reported that among those arrested is a suspect from the recent attempted execution style shooting in DeLuz Canyon.

It is the policy of the Sheriff's Department not to identify juvenile arrestees.

The five adult arrestees are:

*Sergio Ramirez, 19 years old of Fallbrook (664/187 PC - Attempted murder).

*Karla Cortez, 34 years old of Fallbrook (11377(a) H&S - Possession of a controlled substance).
