Learn about "The Birds and the Beasties"

FALLBROOK – As part of the Lecture Series, the Fallbrook Library, located at 124 S. Mission Road is hosting a program on “The Birds and the Beasties” by Denise Gillen. The program will take place on Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. and is sure to be a fun-filled and interesting evening.

Gillen worked for 24 years as a zookeeper at the Zoological Society of San Diego, where she had great success within the breeding program for rare and endangered species.

Learn about the fascinating strategies that wild animals employ to ensure successful mate selection, as well as the tactics zookeepers use to encourage ‘romance’ in a captive situation.

Gillen will also share humorous anecdotes about what happens when ‘love in the wild’ doesn’t go as planned in a zoo environment.
