Daughters of Norway to hear about life during WWII

RAINBOW – Eivind Funnemark, who was born in Porsgrunn, Norway, will speak at the next meeting of the Daughters of Norway on Saturday, March 9, at 11 a.m. He will discuss his life in Norway during World War II, including his courier service for the Norwegian underground. Funnemark has also sailed all over the world as the linen steward for the Norwegian American Line.

All women of Scandinavian heritage are welcome to attend the Daughters of Norway meetings at the Rainbow Valley Grange Hall, 2160 Rainbow Valley Blvd. Following the cultural program is lunch at noon and a business meeting at 12:45 p.m.
