National Charity League offers scholarships as a result of fundraisers

FALLBROOK – In order to provide annual scholarships to deserving young women graduating from high school, members of the San Luis Rey Chapter of National Charity League (NCL) raise funds throughout the year. The members are mothers, known as Patronesses, and their daughters, known as Ticktockers.

NCL members provide an immense amount of resources – time, energy, donations, and love – in order to support local charities and service organizations as well as the chapter’s scholarship fund.

The organization’s annual Mother/Daughter Tea and Winter Wreath Fundraiser provide the funds for these charitable purposes.

Through their attendance and donations to the silent auction portion of the tea, chapter members raised approximately $3,000 this year. In making fresh holiday wreaths by order, the group raised approximately $2,000.

Each year NCL San Luis Rey Chapter offers the Ann Daniel Scholarship awards to graduating senior girls (non-NCL members) who plan to attend a community college, vocational school, or four-year university. More information and applications for those scholarships are available now at the Fallbrook High School career center.
