Re: "What's worse

In George Mavrik’s letter to the editor in last week’s paper, he indicated that our community has been ignored by our new Congressman Duncan Hunter Jr. I would like to point out that shortly after Congressman Hunter’s district was realigned to include Fallbrook, the congressman’s staff arranged a meeting with the congressman to meet with community and business leaders to find out what issues were critical to Fallbrook.

As a member of the FPUD board, we also asked for a meeting to discuss the consolidation of FPUD and RMWD and he responded immediately.

Congressman Hunter’s area representative Rick Terazas has attended a number of Fallbrook events and has responded anytime his services were needed.

Last year, the congressman hosted a summer BBQ in Fallbrook and is planning on another one this year.

I suggest a call to the district office at (619) 448-5201. It doesn’t seem to me that we have been ignored.
