Guacamole Contest details for Avocado Festival

FALLBROOK – The 2013 Fallbrook Avocado Festival will host its annual Guacamole Contest and once again be graced with a panel of well-known judges.

With two separate categories open to all, there is expected to be a multitude of entries in both the professional and amateur events.

Held in the CAST parking lot, on Main near Hawthorne, the green gold will arrive throughout the morning and at 1 p.m. judging will begin. Just a few of the fortunate judges include Congressman Duncan Hunter, Supervisor Bill Horn, CHP Captain Deb Schroder, Sheriff’s Lt. Todd Richardson, N.C. Fire Chief Bill Metcalf, and Honorary Mayor Leo Romero.

Sue Shimer is the organizer of this annual contest and conducts a well-organized and competitive event.
