Valencia now a member of National Society of Collegiate Scholars

FALLBROOK – Monica R. Valencia of Fallbrook has been accepted as a new member of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCA).

“”NSCS is more than just a symbol of academic achievement,” said Stephen E. Loflin, NSCS founder and CEO, “membership gives students access to a number of amazing benefits including career and networking resources, scholarships, travel, and service projects both on campus and in the community.”

Valencia was born in Michoacan, Mexico and came to the United States when she was nine years ago. She graduated from Fallbrook High School in 2011 and is currently a sophomore at California State University, San Marcos. She intends to pursue her education and a career in nursing.

NSCS is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is the nation’s only interdisciplinary honors organization for first- and second-year college students. Membership is by invitation only, based on grade point average and class standing.
