Wildlife art exhibit at Fallbrook Library

FALLBROOK – “The Birds and the Beasts: A Wildlife Art Exhibit” will open April 28 at the Fallbrook branch of the San Diego County Library.

The exhibit, which will run until June 29, features paintings by Scott Thom, Gamini Ratnavira, Allen Jimmerson, Jack Ragland and Jen Trute, whose art is on loan from the Oceanside Museum. Photographs are by Abe Ordover, Karen Gastineau, David Oblon, Larry Moskowitz, Bruce Flood and Aimee Cebulski. Other pieces are by Cy Vojak and Paul Elder.

More than 20 different birds, butterflies and animals, from natural habitats as far away as Africa, the Galapagos Islands, Thailand and Sri Lanka, will be part of the exhibit.

An opening reception sponsored by the Friends of the Fallbrook Library for the artists will be held on May 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the library’s community room. Refreshments will be served and admission is free to all.
