The greening of the downtown parking lot

FALLBROOK - A shady new avenue of trees promises to greet drivers as they enter the parking lot between the Fallbrook Art Center and the library, thanks once again to Save Our Forest (SOF) volunteers.

Early Sunday morning, April 7, over 40 volunteer tree planters assembled with shovels and gloves to plant eight 36-inch box Chinese Elm trees, under the supervision of Jackie Heyneman, chairperson of the Save Our Forest branch of the Fallbrook Land Conservancy. Volunteers included Miss Fallbrook and Miss Teen Fallbrook contestants.
