Fog advisory issued for tonight; visibility may drop to quarter-mile or less

SAN DIEGO & SOUTHERN Riverside COUNTY - The National Weather Service has issued a fog advisory for the area tonight, Saturday, May 11.

Dense fog is expected to develop this evening as a result of the marine layer moving inland and decreasing in height.

Visibility is expected to fall to a quarter-mile or less; necessitating caution for drivers.

The time frame expected to have the greatest impact is from 10 p.m. tonight to 9 a.m. tomorrow.

Roadways expected to be affected by the dense fog are: Interstate 15 and highways west of that.

Drivers are advised to slow down, use low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance between vehicles during these conditions.
