Can you donate good, used formal wear?

I am once more collecting formal evening wear for the 2013 Camp Pendleton Marine and Navy Balls, which includes ball gowns, cocktail dresses, tuxedoes, etc. This year, Camp Pendleton prefers not to have separates.

It is spring, and an excellent time to be going through your clothes, to find those glitzy gowns which you no longer wear, or have outworn, which are hanging woefully and unused in your closet – gowns that have been used on cruises, at balls and for other memorable times in days gone by. You might consider donating them for the Camp Pendleton Marine and Navy Balls which are held each year.

This is a wonderful way to be able to help our military in this small way. Their salaries do not account for the purchase of expensive evening wear, and we can help them by making these special occasions really special with our donations.

Wanted: Nearly new, or lightly-used prom dresses, ball gowns, cocktail dresses, and accessories (shoes, sandals, wraps, purses) – not forgetting tuxedoes, dark suits, shoes and accessories for the men.
