Local Masons honor outstanding teachers, employee

FALLBROOK – With the month of April designated as Public Schools Month by all Masons in California, the Grand Lodge of California kicked off the celebration March 27 by presenting a check for $161,000 to the San Diego Unified School District in support of public education.

This year, the Fallbrook Masonic Lodge joined in a local celebration on April 4 at its Stated Meeting Dinner with a presentation by Mark MacDonald, event chairman, and Robert DeCuir, lodge secretary.

The four honorees were English teacher Connie Fellios of Fallbrook High School; Brad Fox of Potter Jr. High School (science dept.); Judy Shafer (kindergarten teacher) at Live Oak Elementary School; and Minnie Morales (guidance clerk) at Potter Jr. High School.

The dinner was attended by Fellios and her husband. She was presented with a certificate of excellence and a bouquet of flowers. As it was Spring Break, the other three honorees were unable to attend due to prior commitments. The certificates for those unable to attend were delivered to their schools for presentation at a more opportune time.
