Thank you for CROP Walk participation

Our community came together and supported the 22nd annual CROP walk held June 2 to raise money for the hungry. Various churches and their pastors participated in the walk, along with other Fallbrook residents for an approximate total of 250 walkers.

The total amount of money raised is not available yet, however 25 percent of the money raised will stay here in Fallbrook to help feed those in need in our community. The rest of the money helps those in need across the US and around the world. Special guests included Herman and Carol Van Den Bosch, founders of the Fallbrook CROP Walk.

I would like to personally thank everyone who participated in the walk and all those who donated money for this very important cause. Special thank you goes to our local businesses that helped pay for the t-shirts, and Ultragraphix for doing an outstanding job in printing our t-shirts under a very tight deadline.

A special thank you goes to our local Sheriff’s volunteers for directing traffic and keeping our walkers safe. Last but not least, a special thank you goes to our Fallbrook Food Pantry for hosting this event with food and refreshments. The pantry board and the rest of their volunteers do a wonderful job all year round to help our Fallbrook citizens who are in need. We have a very special community that shows compassion for the needy.

You can still make a donation to this year’s walk by contacting me at (760) 659-8005 or [email protected].
