Music Society announces appointment of two new board members

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Music Society is pleased to announce that Ken Finster and Tom Evans have recently been appointed to serve as members of its board of directors.

“We are delighted to have Ken and Tom serve on our board,” said Jane Lorenz, president of the Music Society. “Each of them brings skill, expertise and business acumen, which further bolsters and augments the many talents of our board.”

Finster has decades of experience as an entrepreneur, having started and operated a number of technology companies. He is a licensed life and health insurance agent, focusing on insurance products as important aspects of retirement and estate planning. He presently serves as treasurer of the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce, and is on the investment committee of Legacy Endowment. Finster resides in Fallbrook with his wife, April, and has four grown children. He holds an undergraduate degree in engineering and an MBA, and has taught in both university and industrial settings.

Tom Evans is a WWII veteran who served in the Navy as a radioman. A graduate of USC, he taught quality control courses at Chaffey College, conducted management seminars for the State of California, and designed research projects for the U.S. Department of Labor. He was an information systems consultant for the U.S. Social & Rehabilitation Service, and reviewed contracts, developed program plans and information systems, and managed the internal control review program for U.S. Human Development Services. He was once an avid sailor and commander of a U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla, and taught sailing and boating safety. Evans lives in Fallbrook with wife, Sandra.
