Senior Care Computer learning center announces new schedule of free workshops

FALLBROOK – The Senior Care Computer Learning Center, a program of the Foundation for Senior Care, offers computer classes for the beginner to advanced users. The Computer Learning Center is staffed by a group of knowledgeable volunteers and offers seniors the opportunity to learn more about technology and how it can work for them.

Fall 2013 workshops are scheduled for the week of Aug. 26 to 29 and will be held in the Tom Warner Learning Center located at the Foundation for Senior Care offices, 135 S. Mission Road, Fallbrook. Workshops are free and seating will be available on a first come, first served basis for the following clinics:

Mon., Aug. 26

10 a.m. to noon - Buying and Selling on the Internet

1 to 3 p.m. – Skype

Tues., Aug. 27

10 a.m. to noon - Computer Virus Protection

1 to 3 p.m. - Tablet or Personal Computer

Wed., Aug. 28

10 a.m. to noon - Windows 8 Overview

1 to 3 p.m. - Pinterest

Thurs., Aug. 29

10 a.m. to noon – Kindle Fire Reader

1 to 3 p.m. - Blogging with WordPress

A free open lab takes place every Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. where questions can be answered and assistance is available for help with both software and hardware computer concerns.
