Entries open for 7th annual Small Works Art Exhibition at Brandon Gallery

FALLBROOK - Brandon Gallery has issued a call for entries and expanded competitive categories for its 7th annual Small Works Art Exhibition: “Celebrating the Elements of Art -- Mini Size”, a juried and open competition slated for October.

Angela Koenig, chair of the event, says Brandon changed to “open” categories for the competition to put more stress on artistic technique. She said that, as in the past, there is a $20 fee for the first entry and $10 each for the second and third. Art is limited to 14 1/2 inches on either side, which includes the frame.

Juror for the competition is Geri Medway, a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and Watercolor West.

Koenig said Brandon Gallery has a prospectus and entry form on the gallery’s website, http://www.fallbrookbrandongallery.org, as well as at the gallery.

Entries may be delivered to the gallery on CD between Sept. 1 and 15 or in person Sept. 20 and 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The gallery will host a reception and awards ceremony Sat., Oct. 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. Winning and selected art will be on display in the gallery and available for purchase Oct. 1 through 31.

Brandon Gallery is a non-profit artists’ cooperative and is located at 105 North Main Ave.
