Inaugural jazz and wine event a success at Grand Tradition Estate

FALLBROOK - Fabulous jazz and the scent of Ruth’s Chris grill were in the air Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Grand Tradition Estate & Gardens.

Approximately 700 people took advantage of the opportunity to hear world-class jazz musicians such as Jeff Lorber, jazz harpist Lori Andrews, and Michael Paulo in concert at the facility’s first Signature Grand Tradition Jazz and Wine event.

Paulo kicked off his set with a riotous solo on the roof of Grand Tradition Victorian mansion. The crowd was astounded as he made his way to the main stage, never missing a note.

The food and wine tasting stations were placed in a meandering way throughout the gardens with those at VIP tables on the veranda being served a special buffet dinner.

Owner of the Grand Tradition, Don McDougal explained that along with regional restaurants and international wines, they made of a point of including local restaurants such as Le Bistro and Trupiano’s as well as Fallbrook and Casa Tiene Vista wines throughout the tasting gardens.

The event successfully raised at least $500 for the Ronald McDonald House.

It was deemed such a wildly successful event that the McDougals’ have decided to make this an annual concert.
