Non-profits gain from Honorary Mayor contest

FALLBROOK – Finding a fun way to support one’s favorite non-profit organization is always exciting. The Fallbrook Honorary Mayor race has offered numerous opportunities for just that.

The Fallbrook Food Pantry, Fallbrook Land Conservancy, AAUW, and Masonic Cemetery Association all caught the vision of this new plan. They will all receive 20 percent of what their respective candidates earn for the organization.

Many events are planned to help the candidates on their way to election, but even more, raising dollars for these worthy causes.

There are hikes, dances, teas, art events, personalized stones for the cemetery, dinners, and more to come. Check the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce website for details at http://www.fallbrookchamberof

commerce.org.

The American Association of University Women’s (AAUW) candidate is Sherry Ludwig; the Fallbrook Land Conservancy’s is Martin Quiroz; the Cemetery Association backs Brian Demming; and the Fallbrook Food Pantry’s candidate is Lila MacDonald.
