Ann Bynum Dunbar

Ann Bynum Dunbar passed peacefully into the hands of her Lord Jesus Christ on the morning of September 24, 2013 at her home in Fallbrook, Calif.

Ann attended the University of Mississippi where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She then attended the University of Houston where she met Garland Dunbar Jr. who was soon to be her husband of 54 years.

Ann worked as a secretary, while raising four children. She was a beautiful singer, modeled at times, was an actress in a movie, and her favorite past time was participating as an award-winning avid bowler. Ann was a member of Presbyterian Church in Fallbrook for 14 years.

Ann was a loving wife and mother who is survived by her husband, Garland Dunbar Jr.; her four daughters, DeAnna Dunbar, Debra Dunbar, Lori McGowen and Kitty DeMoss; her son, Garland Duke Dunbar III; her four grandchildren, Clay McGowen, Kaley McGowen, Kelsey McGowen, and Dahlia Dunbar III; her brother, Bart Bynum; and Dexter, her beloved, loyal companion Shih Tzu.

The funeral took place October 5, 2013 at the Dermott Cemetery in Dermott, Arkansas. Arrangements were handled by Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary in Fallbrook and Stephenson Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello, Arkansas.
