Fallbrook Child Development Center benefits from $32,000 donation

FALLBROOK – Los Padrinos (The Godparents) of the Fallbrook Child Development Center recently presented their ninth annual ‘One and Only Evening of Revelry’ dinner and silent auction. Longtime supporters and board members Bob and Susan Lucy hosted the event at their Monserate Hill home. This special event was attended by 108 guests and raised more than $32,000 for a very deserving group of children.

This year’s theme for the silent auction and dinner was “Farm to Plate,” featuring original food creations artfully prepared by Frazier Farms with premium wines and beers especially selected for the evening.

“Sunflowers, so symbolic of our children and how they energetically thrive, learn and grow at Fallbrook Child Development Center, were the decorative theme throughout the beautiful Lucy home,” said board member Ann Logan. Past and current supporters were invited to the event, which was also open to community members at large. All participants were asked to donate items to the unique silent auction and organizers said “their generosity made it the most successful event ever!”

The Fallbrook Child Development Center has been in operation since 1975. It was founded by a group of men and women in town, and is dedicated to quality early childhood education and daycare for children ages one to five years. The center serves up to 48 children from low income families whose parents are either working or in school.

In 2005, its board recognized the need for ongoing support of the center and created “Los Padrinos” (The Godparents). New supporters are welcome at any time. For more information, contact Reva Reece, director, at (760) 728-5402 or visit http://www.FallbrookChildDevelopmentCenter.org.
