North County Fire has confirmed emergency workers responded to a fire on Saturday evening, January 25 in a mobile home park at 1455 Alturas Road in Fallbrook.
"The fire burned about 75 percent of a mobile home and our firefighters did a great job protecting the surrounding ones from catching fire," said John Buchanan, public information officer for North County Fire.
Buchanan said firefighters responded to the blaze about 7:30 p.m. that night and that one person was transported to Fallbrook Hospital for medical evaluation as a result.
"The fire remains under investigation and the residents of the mobile home have been displaced as a result," he said.
Buchanan said keeping a fire in a mobile home community contained is a challenge.
"The reason is because mobile homes are made of lighter-weight material and are very susceptible to fire," he said.
