UPDATE: Sheriff's deputies, canine, catch carjacker in Bonsall

After locating and arresting a suspect (on the ground) in a carjacking case Jan. 29 in Bonsall, Sheriff's deputies share information about the crime. A canine officer tracked the suspect through the River Village shopping center, leading officers to his location behind one of the buildings.


Sheriff's deputies, utilizing the help of a canine officer, caught a suspect in a carjacking case in Bonsall yesterday, Wed., January 30, shortly after the crime took place at 3:10 p.m.

According to Sheriff's Sgt. Patrick Yates, "A 911 call was received from the victim who reported that someone had just robbed him of his vehicle at gunpoint. The victim was calling from the Park & Ride area near the intersection of State Route 76 and Old Highway 395 in Fallbrook."
