Rain, wind blows into Fallbrook; flash flood warning issued for region

FALLBROOK - While wet, windy weather has already arrived in Fallbrook from a new storm system, the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for the region. Areas under the warning include northwestern San Diego County, southwestern Riverside County and east central Orange County.

Authorities advise residents that areas where fires have occurred recently are particularly susceptible to flash floods and debris flow from this storm.

Weather outlook:

Friday, Feb. 28 - 100 percent chance of rain; high temperature 61 degrees, low temperature 51 degrees; winds from the south/southwest at 24 miles per hour.

Saturday, March 1 - 100 percent chance of rain; high temperature 58 degrees, low temperature 50 degrees; winds from the south/southwest at 16 miles per houf.

Sunday, March 2 - 50 percent chance of rain; high temperature 62 degrees, low temperature 47 degrees; wind from the southwest at 8 miles per hour.

Monday, March 3 - Cloudy (no rain); high temperature of 66 degrees, low temperature of 50 degrees; winds at 10 miles per hour

Tuesday, March 4 - Partly cloudy (no rain); high temperature of 72 degrees, low temperature of 53 degrees, winds at 7 miles per hour.
