What to choose - vegetable garden or flower garden?

FALLBROOK - Sometimes gardeners appear to be senators on opposite sides of the aisle when deciding whether to endorse vegetable gardening or flower gardening. Each have very strong opinions as to why they have chosen one or the other. But in the spirit of bi-partisanship, why not do both in the same garden?
