It takes a village to produce a newspaper

Springtime not only gives us an opportunity to think about what interesting opportunities await us, but allows us to reflect on our efficiency the previous year. And I believe there are always ways to become more efficient.

One of the ways the Village News is able to cover a lot of ground for a weekly community newspaper is not because we have the luxury of having hundreds of employees, but that we have dozens and dozens of news-mobilized residents who help us.

These valuable residents are involved in Fallbrook and Bonsall’s dynamic nonprofit organizations, successful businesses, public and private schools, ministries, and service agencies.

The fact that these individuals take the time to correspond with us and let us know about upcoming events, human interest stories, and breaking news from the streets is what helps us provide the most comprehensive news possible for our town.

While we should say this more frequently, we want to take this opportunity to thank the citizens of Fallbrook and Bonsall for helping the newspaper be the top source for information in this community. We sincerely value and appreciate you.

Citizens help us provide the best news coverage possible, but we never forget that our advertisers are the ones who make it possible in the first place to publish this newspaper each week.

I want to thank all those who place paid advertising in this paper for allowing all of us in Fallbrook/Bonsall to have our own specialized news source. You make it happen.
