Valley Fort Steakhouse - A beef lover's paradise!

Are you “hankerin’” for a good steak? Or a “rip-roarin’” cut of prime rib? Valley Fort Steakhouse in Fallbrook is a beef lover’s paradise! Savory selections of Certified Angus Beef are just waiting for you - succulent filet mignon, tender flat iron steak, rib eye, porterhouse, top sirloin and prime rib.

The prime rib, cooked medium-rare, is tender, flavorful, and juicy, but add a bit of horseradish sauce and it heightens the flavor even further. The meat is tender, with no pesky sinew to mar the experience. Dinners are served with steamed broccoli and sweet carrots, as well as with a fluffy baked potato.

Prime rib is also available as a Senior Special served with a potato, vegetables, dessert, and homemade bread.

Valley Fort cooks create a variety of soup-of-the-day choices. One choice – Tomato Bisque – is a smooth, velvety soup with a heavy tomato flavor and delicious hints of onion, carrots and basil. When you swing open the doors of Valley Fort, an Old West atmosphere will greet you, and might even make you forget the year is really 2014. Vintage red glass Tiffany lamps dangle from the ceiling. Shelves above the tables are cheery with antiques; and the walls are peppered with autographed black and white photos of Western movie actors. In the garden area, a stream meanders through a green lawn; and Old-West-style buildings give the place a Knott’s Ghost Town feel.

When my cousins from Sweden visit I am going to make sure that Valley Fort is one of our restaurant destinations. It’s a novel taste of the Old West; and the hearty fare is just good “down-home” American-style food.

The Red Dog Saloon, adjacent to the dining area, has a variety of wine, craft beers and ale available. Eight television screens are perennially tuned to the NFL Channel and ESPN. Live music fills the air on Friday and Saturday nights.
