Encore Club holds Fabulous Fifties Party

FALLBROOK – Poodle skirts and saddle shoes, bobby socks and rock and roll, Elvis on 33rpm records and of course a juke box – all greeted guests at a recent Fabulous Fifties party hosted by the Encore Club. The festivities were welcoming new members who were “flying up” from the Newcomers Club.

The luncheon event was held at the Fallbrook Methodist Church, with a variety of dishes provided by Encore members – from Coca-Cola to cupcakes. Everything was reminiscent of the 1950s theme so it was not fancy, just

frolicking fun.

The Encore Club parties will wind down for the season with the upcoming Gathering “Garden Party” to be held in the evening of June 7 at the Bonsall home of a member, followed by the “End of Year Party,” scheduled for June 14 at the Valley Fort Steakhouse. Both of these parties are expected to include the gentlemen. Prizes will be awarded for the finest hat – prettiest, most humorous, or most creative.
