UPDATE ON AMBER ALERT-Stolen vehicle located; man and 2-year-old boy still being sought

Two-year-old Edwin Vargas is missing and believed to be in the company of 27-year-old Abraham Vargas.

Authorities have just issued an update on the 2-year-old being sought through an Amber Alert. The stolen vehicle has been located, but the man and the toddler are still being sought.

LOS ANGELES - An Amber Alert was issued shortly after 6:30 a.m. today, Friday, May 23 for 2-year-old Edwin Vargas, who was abducted from the Boyle Heights area of Los Angeles.

The suspect in the abduction is 27-year-old Abraham Vargas, a 27-year-old Hispanic male.

Vargas was last seen driving a 2004 orange-colored Nissan Quest, Calif. license plate 7CIN189.

The vehicle has tinted windows and was stolen.

Vargas is considered armed and dangerous by authorities.

Anyone knowing of the whereabouts of this man/vehicle is asked to call the Los Angeles Police Department at (323) 342-4185.
