FALLBROOK – A “Pinata Party” class will be offered at the Fallbrook Community Center the week of July 21 through 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The instructor will be artist Daniel Martinez.

This hands-on, creative workshop will discuss the history of the piñata, various designs, and use of materials. Students will create a fun and artistic sculpture that can be broken, or saved as a work of art.

Basic drawing, traditional construction techniques, and decorative skills will be learned and applied. The culmination of the workshop will be a piñata-breaking ceremony.

Materials include: newspaper, balloons, paper tubes, cardboard, colored tissue paper, acrylic paint, and decorative elements. This week long art class meets Monday-Friday that week.
