Heat advisory remains for San Diego County deserts, Coachella Valley, advisory canceled for Riverside County

SAN DIEGO COUNTY DESERTS-COACHELLA VALLEY-A heat advisory remains in effect until 9 pm this evening. High temps of 106 to 112 with peak heat index values of 108 to 114.

Hot weather can be stressful to animals and humans if proper precautions are not taken.

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside when possible. Reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible. Drink plenty of water and avoid alcoholic beverages. Never leave kids or pets unattended i...
