County employee donations help local nonprofits

On March 28, the San Diego County Employees’ Charitable Organization distributed $178,630 in grants to 92 nonprofit organizations throughout the San Diego region. The funds are provided through the donations of County of San Diego employees and retirees.

Checks were presented to recipients by CECO at its annual awards breakfast. Charitable organizations receiving grants included the following:

• Boys & Girls Clubs of North County received $1,500 for Triple Play Various sports equipment.
• Community Health Systems, Inc., dba Fallbrook Family Health Center was given $1,500 for glasses distributed through the FFHC Optometry Program.
• Fallbrook Food Pantry received $1,500 for its Food for Our Hungry Neighbors program which provides eggs and milk to needt families.
